"When there are three persons, one of them should lead them...”

★ Mafhoom-e-Hadith: *"When there are three persons, one of them should lead them...”*
•┈┈┈┈••✦✿✦••┈┈┈┈•
► Hadiths (English):
❶ Narrated by Abu Saeed Al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah, Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ peace be upon him) said - *"When there are three persons, one of them should lead them. The one among them most worthy to act as Imam is one who is best versed in the Quran”.* [Sahih Muslim, Book 4, 1417]

❷ Narrated by Abu Masood Al-Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah, Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ peace be upon him) said - *"The one who is most versed in Allah's Book should act as Imam for the people, but If they are equally versed in reciting it, then the one who has most knowledge regarding Sunnah, if they are equal regarding the Sunnah, then the earliest one to emigrate; it they emigrated at the same time, then the earliest one to embrace Islam”. Ashajj in his narration used the word, 'age' in place of 'Islam'.* [Sahih Muslim, Book 4, 1420]

حضرت ابو سعید الخدري رضی الله عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول الله محمدﷺ نے فرمایا: *"جب تین شخص ہوں تو ان میں سے ایک امام ہو جائے اور امامت کا زیادہ حقدار وہ ہے جو قرآن زیادہ جانتا ہو"۔* _صحیح مسلم، جلد ٢، ١٥٢٩_

حضرت أبو مسعود الأنصاري‎ رضی الله عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول الله محمدﷺ نے فرمایا: *"لوگوں کی امامت وہ کرے جو قرآن زیادہ جانتا ہو، اور اگر قرآن میں برابر ہو تو سنّت زیادہ جانتا ہو، اگر سنّت میں برابر ہو تو جس نے پہلے ہجرت کی ہو، اگر ہجرت میں برابر ہو تو جو اسلام پہلے لیا ہو"۔ ایک روایت میں اسلام کی جگہ عمر کہا گیا یعنی جس کی عمر زیادہ ہو۔* _صحیح مسلم، جلد ٢، ١٥٣٢_

★ Mafhoom-e-Hadith: *"Jab teen (3) shakhs hoon to unmein se ek Imam ho jaaye aur...”*

►Hadiths (Roman Urdu):
❶ Hazrat Abu Saeed Al-Khudri (radi Allahu anhu) se rivayat hai ki Rasool-Allah, Muhammad (ﷺ sallAllahu alaihi wasallam) ne farmaya - *“Jab teen (3) shakhs hoon to unmein se ek Imam ho jaaye aur Imamat ka zyada haqdar woh hai jo Quran zyada padha ho”.* [Sahih Muslim, Jild 2, 1529]

❷ Hazrat Abu Masood Al-Ansari (radi Allahu anhu) se rivayat hai ki Rasool-Allah, Muhammad (ﷺ sallAllahu alaihi wasallam) ne farmaya - *“Logon ki imamat woh karey jo Quran zyada jaanta ho, aur agar Quran mein barabar ho to sunnat zyada jaanta ho, agar sunnat mein barabar ho to jisney pehley hijrat ki ho, agar hijrat mein barabar ho to jo Islam pehley laya ho”. Ek rivayat mein ‘Islam’ ki jagah ‘umar’ kaha gaya yaani jiski umar zyada ho.* [Sahih Muslim, Jild 2, 1532]

► अहादीस / हदीसें (हिंदी):
❶ हज़रत अबू सईद अल-ख़ुदरी (रदी अल्लाहू अन्हु) से रिवायत है की रसूल-अल्लाह, मुहम्मद (ﷺ सलअल्लाहू अलैही वसल्लम) ने फरमाया - *"जब तीन शख़्स हों तो उनमें से एक इमाम हो जाए, और इमामत का ज़्यादा हक़दार वह है जो क़ुरान ज़्यादा पढ़ा हो l"* [सहीह मुस्लिम, जिल्द 2, 1529]

❷ हज़रत अबू मसूद अल-अंसारी (रदी अल्लाहू अन्हु) से रिवायत है की रसूल-अल्लाह, मुहम्मद (ﷺ सलअल्लाहू अलैही वसल्लम) ने फरमाया - *“लोगों की इमामत वह करे जो क़ुरान ज़्यादा जानता हो, और अगर क़ुरान में बराबर हो तो सुन्नत ज़्यादा जानता हो, अगर सुन्नत में बराबर हो तो जिसने पहले हिजरत की हो, अगर हिजरत में बराबर हो तो जो इस्लाम पहले लाया हो" l एक रिवायत में 'इस्लाम' की जगह 'उम्र' कहा गया यानि जिसकी उम्र ज़्यादा हो ।"* [सहीह मुस्लिम, जिल्द 2, 1532]
