★ Mafhoom-e-Hadith: *“'Teaching or reciting’ two Quranic verses is better than bringing two she-camels.”*

► Hadith (English): Uqba Bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: When we were in Suffa, the Messenger of Allah, Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ peace be upon him) came out and said - *“Which of you would like to go out every morning to ‘Buthan or Al-Aqiq’ (market area of Madina) and bring two large she-camels without being guilty of sin or without severing the ties of kinship?”* We replied - *“O Messenger of Allah, Muhammad (ﷺ peace be upon him), we would like to do it”.* Upon this he, Muhammad (ﷺ peace be upon him) said - *“Any one of you go out in the Masjid and teach or recite two verses from the Book of Allah. the Majestic and Glorious, that is better for him than two she-camels and three verses are better (than three she-camels) and four verses are better for him than four (she-camels), and to on their number in camels”.* [Sahih Muslim, Book 4, 1756]

حضرت عقبہ بن عامر رضی الله تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے، انھوں نے کہا کہ رسول الله محمد ﷺ گھر سےنکل کر تشریف لائے۔ ہم صفہ (چبوترے) پر مووجود تھے، آپ محمد ﷺ نے فرمایا: *"تم میں سے کون پسند کرتا ہے کہ روزانہ صبح بطحان یا عقیق (کی وادی) میں جائے اور وہاں سے بغیر کسی گناہ، اور قطع رحمی کے، دو بڑے بڑے کوہانوں والی اونٹنیاں لائے؟"* ہم نے عرض کی: *"اے الله کے رسول محمد ﷺ! ہم سب کو یہ بات پسند ہے"۔* آپ محمد ﷺ نے فرمایا: *"پھر تم میں سے کوئی شخص مسجد میں کیوں نہیں جاتا کہ وہ الله کی کتاب کی دو آیتیں سیکھے یا ان کی قراءت کرے تو یہ اس کے لئے دو اونٹنیوں (کے حصول) سے بہتر ہے اور یہ تین آیات تین اونٹنیوں سے بہتر اور چار آیتیں اس کے لئے چار سے بہتر ہیں اور (آیتوں کی تعداد جو بھی ہو) اونٹوں کی اتنی تعداد سے بہتر ہے"۔* _صحیح مسلم، جلد ۲، ۱۸۷۳_

★ Mafhoom-e-Hadith: *“Quran ki 2 aayatein ‘padhna ya sikhana’ 2 oontniya haasil karne se behtar hai.”*

► Hadees (Roman Urdu): Hazrat Uqba bin Amir (radi Allahu anhu) se rivayat hai ki Rasool-Allah, Muhammad (ﷺ sallAllahu alaihi wasallam) hamare paas aaye aur farmaya - *“Tum mein se kaun chahta hai ki roz subah ko ‘Buthan ya Aqiq’ ko jaaye (yeh dono Madina ke bazaar thay) aur waha se bagair kisi gunah ke, aur bagair kisi rishtedar ki haq-talfi ke, do (2) bade-bade kuhan waali ootniya laaye?”* Humne arz kiya - *“Ya Rasool-Allah, Muhammad (ﷺ sallAllahu alaihi wasallam), hum sab isko chaahte hain”.* To Aap, Muhammad (ﷺ sallAllahu alaihi wasallam) ne farmaya - *“Tum mein se jo koi Masjid ki taraf jaata hai ki woh Allah ki Kitab se do (2) aaytein khud padh le ya sikha de, yeh uske liye do (2) oontniyo se behtar hai, aur teen (aayatein padhna ya sikhaana) teen (oontniyo) se behtar hai, aur chaar (aayatein padhna ya sikhaana) chaar se behtar hai is tarah aayaton ki tadad oontniyo ki tadad se behtar hai”.* [Sahih Muslim, Jild 2, 1873]

► हदीस (हिंदी): हज़रत उक़बा बिन आमिर (रदी अल्लाहू अन्हु) से रिवायत है की रसूल-अल्लाह, मुहम्मद (ﷺ सलअल्लाहू अलैही वसल्लम) हमारे पास आए और फरमाया - *“तुम में से कौन चाहता है की रोज़ सुबह को ‘बूतहान या अक़ीक़’ को जाए (ये दोनो मदीना के बाज़ार थे) और वहां से बगैर किसी गुनाह के, और बगैर किसी रिश्तेदार की हक़-तल्फि के, दो (2) बड़े बड़े कुहान वाली ऊटनियां लाए?”* हमने अर्ज़ किया - *“या रसूल-अल्लाह, मुहम्मद (ﷺ सलअल्लाहू अलैही वसल्लम) हम सब इसको चाहते हैं l”* तो आप, मुहम्मद (ﷺ सलअल्लाहू अलैही वसल्लम) ने फरमाया - *“तुम में से जो कोई मस्जिद की तरफ जाता है की वो अल्लाह की किताब से दो आयतें खुद पढ़ ले या सीखा दे ये उसके लिए दो (2) ऊंटनियों से बेहतर है, और तीन (आयतें पढ़ना या सीखाना) तीन (ऊंटनियों) से बेहतर है, और चार (आयतें पढ़ना या सिखाना) चार से बेहतर है, इस तरह आयतों की तादाद ऊंटनियों की तादाद से बेहतर है l”* [सही मुस्लिम, जिल्द 2,
