★ Quran-o-Hadith: *“Suspicion, spying and backbiting…”*
•┈┈┈┈••✦✿✦••┈┈┈┈•
► Al Quran: *“O you who believe! Avoid much suspicion; indeed, some suspicions are sins. And spy not, neither backbite one another. Would one of you like to eat the flesh of his dead brother? You would hate it (so hate backbiting). And fear Allah. Verily, Allah is the One Who forgives and accepts repentance, Most Merciful”.* [Al Quran, Chapter Al Hujraat 49, Verse 12]

► Hadith (English): Narrated Anas ibn Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah, Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ peace be upon him) said - *“When I was taken up to Heaven I passed by people who had nails of copper and were scratching their faces and their breasts. I asked: ‘Who are these people, Gabriel?’ He replied: ‘They are those who were given to back biting and who aspersed people's honour’.”* [Sunan Abu Dawud, Book 41, 4860-Sahih]

القرآن: *“اے ایمان والوں، بہت بدگمانی (یعنی شک کرنے) سے بچتے رہو؛ کیونکی بعض گمان تو گناہ ہیں۔ اور (ایک دوسرے کی) جاسوسی نہ کیا کرو، اور نہ کوئی کسی کی غیبت کیا کرے۔ کیا تم میں سے کوئی پسند کرتا ہے کی اپنے مرے ہوے بھائی کا گوشت کھاے؟ اسکو تم ناپسند کرتے ہو۔ اور الله سے  ڈرتے رہو۔ بیشک، الله بڑا توبہ قبول کرنے والا اور بڑا رحم کرنے والا ہے۔”* _القرآن، سوره الحجرات ٤٩، آیات ١٢_

حضرت انس بن مالک رضی الله عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول الله محمدﷺ نے فرمایا: *"جب مجھے معراج کرائی گئی، تو میرا گزر ایسے لوگوں پر سے ہوا، جن کے ناخن تانبے کے تھے اور وہ ان سے اپنے منہ اور سینے نوچ رہے تھے۔ میں نے پوچھا: جبرائیل! یہ کون لوگ ہیں؟ تو انہونے کہا: یہ وہ ہیں جو لوگوں کا گوشت کھاتے (غیبت کرتے) اور ان کی بے عزتی کرتے تھے"۔* _سنن أبي داود، جلد ٣، ٤٨٧٨-صحیح_

★ Quran-o-Hadith: *“Badgumaani, Jasoosi aur Gheebat…”*

► Al Quran: *“Eh Imaan walo, bahut badghumani (yani shak karney) se bachtey raho; kyunki baaz gumaan to gunaah hain. Aur (ek dusrey ki) jasoosi na kiya karo, aur na koi kisi ki gheebat kiya karey. Kya tum mein se koi pasand karta hai ki apney marey huye bhai ka gosht khaye? Isko tum napasand kartey ho. Aur Allah se dartey raho. Beshak, Allah bada tauba Qubul karney wala aur bada reham karney wala hai.”* [Al Quran, Surah Al Hujraat 49, Ayat 12]

► Hadith (Roman Urdu): Hazrat Anas bin Malik (radi Allahu anhu) se rivayat hai ki Rasool-Allah, Muhammad (ﷺ sallAllahu alaihi wasallam) ne farmaya - *“Jab mujhe Mairaj karaayi gayi (yaani Mairaj ka safar karaya gaya), to mera guzar aise logo par se hua, jinkey nakhoon taanbey (copper) ke thay aur woh un se apney munh aur seeney ko nouch rahey thay. Main ney poocha: ‘Jibril, yeh kaun log hain?’ To unhoney kaha: ‘Yeh woh log hain jo logon ka gosh‌‍‌t khaatey (gheebat kartey) aur unki be-izzati karte thay’.”* [Sunan Abu Dawood, Jild 3, 4878-Sahih]

► अल क़ुरान: *“एह ईमानवालों, बहुत बदगुमानी (यानि शक करने) से बचते रहो; क्योंकि बाज़ गुमान तो गुनाह हैं। और (एक दूसरे की) जासूसी ना किया करो, और ना कोई किसी की ग़ीबत किया करे। क्या तुम में से कोई पसंद करता है की अपने मरे हुए भाई का गोश्त खाये? इसको तुम नापसंद करते हो। और अल्लाह से डरते रहो। बेशक, अल्लाह बड़ा तौबा क़ुबूल करने वाला और बड़ा रहम करने वाला है।”* [अल क़ुरान, सूरह अल हुजरात 49, आयात 12]

► हदीस (हिंदी): हज़रत अनस बिन मालिक (रदी अल्लाहू अन्हु) से रिवायत है की रसूल-अल्लाह, मुहम्मद (ﷺ सलअल्लाहू अलैही वसल्लम) ने फरमाया - *“जब मुझे मैराज कराई गयी (यानी मैराज का सफर कराया गया), तो मेरा गुज़र ऐसे लोगो पर से हुआ, जिनके नाखून तांबे के थे और वह उन से अपने मुंह और सीने को नौच रहे थे। मैंने पुछा: ‘जिब्रील, यह कौन लोग हैं?’ तो उन्होने कहा: 'यह वह लोग हैं जो लोगों का गोश्त खाते (ग़ीबत करते) और उनकी बेइज़्ज़ती करते थे’।"* [सुनन अबू दाऊद, जिल्द 3, 4878-सहीह]
